Last updated: August 30, 2025 This Privacy Policy describes how BATON ROUGE E MOBILE DNA, LLC, doing business as Baton Rouge Mobile DNA ("BR Mobile DNA", "Company", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our websites, scheduling and payment tools, mobile collection services, and related offerings (collectively, the "Service"). It also explains your privacy rights and how applicable laws protect you. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Interpretation & Definitions Interpretation. Words with initial capital letters have meanings defined below. The following definitions apply whether they appear in singular or plural. Definitions. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy: Account means a unique account created for you to access parts of the Service. You means the individual using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on whose behalf the individual is using the Service, as applicable. Collecting and Using Your Personal Data Types of Data Collected Personal Data you provide directly While using our Service, we may ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information, which may include (as applicable to the Service you request): Contact details: first and last name, email address, phone number, mailing address, city, state, ZIP/postal code. Appointment details: preferred dates/times, location type (home/office/hospital/other), service requested, parties to be tested, attorney/court information, chain-of-custody requirements, and related intake information. Identity verification (for legal/chain-of-custody services): government-issued ID, date of birth, photos/signatures, and documentation needed to verify identity and witness collection. Documents related to your matter: consent forms, court orders, immigration case numbers, attorney contact, and similar. Communications: your messages, emails, SMS replies, and call details when you contact us. Sensitive information. If you obtain DNA testing through us, biological samples and lab results are processed by accredited laboratory partners (Service Providers). We receive testing paperwork and results necessary to fulfill your request and maintain lawful chain-of-custody where applicable. Our primary laboratory partner is Alliance DNA Laboratory, an accredited facility. Payment Information We may offer paid products and services. We use Stripe for payment processing. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems. Payment data you submit is provided directly to Stripe and handled under Stripe’s privacy practices and PCI-DSS requirements. Stripe Privacy Policy: https://stripe.com/us/privacy If you pay by bank transfer or other offline method, we may request information needed to verify and complete the transaction (e.g., payer name, reference number, and, if required by law, additional identity information). Scheduling Information We use Acuity Scheduling to manage appointments. When you book via our scheduling page or embedded widget, the information you provide (e.g., name, contact details, appointment time, service type) is processed by Acuity under its privacy practices. Acuity Scheduling (Squarespace) Privacy Policy: https://www.squarespace.com/privacy Usage Data (collected automatically) When you use the Service, we may automatically collect Usage Data such as your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, time spent on pages, unique device identifiers, and diagnostic data. When you access the Service via a mobile device, we may collect device type, unique device ID, mobile operating system, and mobile browser type. Tracking Technologies & Cookies We use Cookies and similar technologies (e.g., pixels, tags, web beacons) to: Operate the Website and core features ("Necessary Cookies"); Remember your preferences ("Functionality Cookies"); Understand Service usage to improve performance and security ("Analytics Cookies"). You can instruct your browser to refuse Cookies or to indicate when a Cookie is being set. If you disable Cookies, some parts of the Service may not function properly. How We Use Personal Data We may use Personal Data to: Provide, operate, and maintain the Service; Schedule and perform mobile collections; verify identity and witness collection for chain-of-custody services; coordinate with accredited labs; Create and manage your Account (if applicable); Perform and enforce contracts with you (including payment and fulfillment); Communicate with you about appointments, updates, results availability, and customer support via email, phone, and SMS (including important security or policy notices); Send information about services similar to those you’ve purchased or inquired about (you can opt out at any time); Monitor and analyze usage, improve the Service, and enhance security and fraud prevention; Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests; and For other purposes with your consent. Sharing Your Personal Data We may share Personal Data in the following circumstances: With Service Providers who assist in delivering the Service (e.g., accredited laboratories including Alliance DNA Laboratory, couriers, payment processing via Stripe, scheduling via Acuity Scheduling, communications and IT/security providers). These parties are authorized to process Personal Data only as needed to provide services to us and are subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. Legal/Chain-of-Custody: For court-admissible testing, we maintain documented chain-of-custody. We may disclose records to courts, attorneys, agencies, or as required by lawful process. Business transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business, Personal Data may be transferred, subject to this Privacy Policy. Affiliates and business partners: Where appropriate and subject to this Privacy Policy, including to offer certain services or promotions. With your consent or at your direction. We do not sell Personal Data. Retention of Personal Data We retain Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, including to comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or reporting requirements; to resolve disputes; and to enforce agreements. Certain legal/chain-of-custody records must be retained for varying years as required by law, accreditation standards, or contractual obligations. The exact duration depends on the type of record and applicable regulation. Transfer of Personal Data Your information may be processed in locations where we and our Service Providers operate. By providing information, you consent to the transfer of your information to jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers. Scheduling (Acuity Scheduling) We use Acuity Scheduling to collect and manage appointment information. Acuity (a Squarespace company) processes your data under its Privacy Policy: https://www.squarespace.com/privacy. Children’s Privacy Our services may involve minors (e.g., child paternity testing). We collect information about minors only with the consent and participation of a parent or legal guardian, in accordance with applicable law and chain-of-custody requirements. If you believe we have collected a child’s information without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action. Your Choices and Rights Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity and, where applicable, may deny or limit a request if we are unable to verify it, if legal exceptions apply, or if retention is required by law (e.g., chain-of-custody records). Do Not Track Some browsers include a Do Not Track (DNT) setting. Because there is no common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal, our Service does not currently respond to DNT requests.
