Testing Basics

Q1: How does mobile DNA testing work?

A certified collector visits your location to collect DNA samples, which are then securely delivered to an accredited laboratory. Results are returned to you confidentially within days.

Q2: What types of DNA tests do you offer?

We provide paternity, maternity, sibling, grandparent, avuncular, prenatal paternity, immigration, infidelity, post-mortem, and wellness DNA testing. We also offer drug and alcohol screening upon request.

Q3: What’s the difference between a legal DNA test and a peace-of-mind test?

Legal tests follow a strict chain-of-custody process and require verified identification, making them admissible in court. Peace-of-mind tests are for personal knowledge only and do not require the same level of documentation.

Q4: How accurate are the results?

All tests are processed by Alliance DNA Laboratory, an AABB-accredited facility. Paternity and relationship testing typically provides results with 99.9% accuracy or greater when a relationship is confirmed.

Q5: How do I prepare for my DNA test?

No special preparation is required. We recommend not eating, drinking, smoking, or chewing gum for at least 30 minutes before a cheek swab collection.

Results & Confidentiality

Q6: Are the results confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is our top priority. Test results are only released to authorized individuals.

Q7: How long will it take to get results?

Most results are available within 3–5 business days, depending on the type of test. Rush testing may be available at an additional fee.

Q8: Can results be sent directly to my attorney or the court?

Yes. With your written authorization, we can send official test results securely to attorneys, courts, or government agencies.

Q9: What happens to my DNA after testing?

Samples are processed only for the requested test. Unless required by law (e.g., chain-of-custody cases), samples are disposed of securely after testing is complete.

Legal & Immigration Testing

Q10: Are your tests court-admissible?

Yes, our legal DNA testing follows strict chain-of-custody procedures to ensure validity in court proceedings.

Q11: What forms of identification are accepted?

A valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport, or similar). For minors, a birth certificate or other official documentation may be requested.

Q12: Do you work with immigration authorities?

Yes, we partner with accredited labs whose results are accepted by U.S. embassies and immigration offices.

Q13: What if someone refuses to take the test?

Testing is voluntary. For legal cases, refusal may have legal consequences that must be addressed through the court system.

Mobile Collection Services

Q14: How do I schedule an appointment?

Simply click “Book Your Appointment” on our website or reach out to us via the contact form. We’ll arrange a convenient time to come to your location.

Q15: Do all participants need to be present at the same time?

For legal tests, yes — all parties must provide ID and samples under observation. For peace-of-mind tests, samples may be collected separately when needed.

Q16: Can you come to hospitals, offices, or jails for testing?

Yes. We provide mobile collections at homes, offices, hospitals, detention centers, and other approved facilities. Additional coordination may be required for secure locations.

Q17: Can DNA be collected from someone who has passed away?

Yes. With proper authorization and documentation, post-mortem DNA testing can be performed using hair, blood, teeth, tissue, or bone samples.

Q18: Can DNA be collected from personal items?

Yes. In certain cases, DNA can be obtained from items like toothbrushes, hair, clothing, or other materials. However, success rates may vary depending on the condition of the sample.

Payments & Insurance

Q19: Is there a rush option for faster results?

Yes. Rush testing may be available for certain services at an additional fee. Ask us about expedited options when booking.

Q20: Will my insurance cover DNA testing?

In most cases, DNA testing is not covered by insurance. We provide affordable, transparent pricing and payment options.
